About Us

  • ParkingTechniques was formed in May 2010 by Jim Rayner. He was later joined by Stephen Turner, former MD of Meteor Parking, one of the largest operators in the UK.

  • Jim also worked for 20 years for property investment and development companies, and so he brings to car park projects a wide range of skills and understanding of funding and investment matters.

  • We advise a wide range of Clients including NHS Trusts, PFI developers and investors, Airport Investors, car park operators, Local Authorities, Airports, Banks, Pension Funds, Commercial Real Estate Practitioners, and others.

  • Jim has been in involved in a number of Award-winning Car Park projects, including ‘Best New Car Park in The UK’ in 2007, which is a Hospital car park at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton (the first time any healthcare car park has won such an award).

  • He was also involved in awards for ‘Parking Person of The Year’ (for an employee in the Oncology Patients Car Park at Birmingham New Hospitals Project), and ‘Outstanding 10 Years Contribution to Car Parking’.

  • Jim was heavily involved in the development of the British Parking Association “Healthcare Parking Charter”.

  • We describe ourselves as ‘1000 per cent independent’. We have no financial ties or retainers with any Car Park Operators, Equipment Suppliers or builders.
